![]() ![]() I kept going though, because I love the look of the fresh white. ![]() As I started to use this color around my house, I noticed that it was a different shade than “Annie Sloan Original” (which has a more off-white appearance). I found Rust-Oleum had come out with a chalk paint! They had various shades, but I choose “Linen White”. I also purchased “Valspar’s Anitquing Wax for Chalky Finish” in dark satin, linked You can’t beat this look for $10!Ĭheaper Option: While I love the Annie Sloan chalk paint, once I used the quarts I had on hand, I decided to look at Lowe’s for my next home project. The sticker on my quart size can says “Tinter B”. I found a color with gray and navy tones. It’s a medium base paint that they have to tint for you. I went to Lowe’s and decided on “Valspar’s Chalky Finish Paint”. It was her grandfather’s dresser, she was happy to see it go to a good home! Since this was for Jesse, I wanted a darker, more masculine tone. It just so happened to be a woman that I knew from spin class. ![]() Looking to do a small curtain over all the cable boxes this summer….ĭresser: This dresser was an amazing score! I was driving down the road and stopped in at this yard sale. ![]() During the winter, I would just take an old sheet or a plastic roll and put it underneath the furniture. Another thing I love about chalk paint is that it doesn’t have a strong odor, so it’s easy to paint inside. TV Stand: After I did those two pieces, I also used that same quart of paint to paint over our TV Stand/Fireplace. Although it is a more expensive paint than regular paint, the beauty of using chalk paint is:ġ. Since that first project, I have found a cheaper option (see projects below). This helps prevent chipping and makes it easy to clean once completed. You need the wax to seal in the coats of paint. I first purchased “Original” and I also purchased her wax.
